The SEMTECH Activity Monitor (AM) supplements Sensors’ existing emissions measurement equipment by supplying position related vehicle and motor condition data. The monitor connects to a vehicle’s on board diagnostic interface, a GPS antenna, and additional analog inputs for accelerometers. Data is stored on board as well as transmitted via a GSM/GPRS connection to an IP address on the Internet. Data acquisition rates and data transmission timing is user definable. This information can be used to plot emissions data with a geographical map, correlating traffic patterns and driver behavior with exhaust data. The AM is ideal for fleet evaluation and emission mapping.
